Anesthetic birth assistance and pain therapy
Under the direction of Prim. Dr. Max Gosch, the anesthetic birth assistance and pain therapy offers all anesthetic procedures, as well as different pain therapy methods, in order to ensure the patients the widest range of treatment. Even prior to the birth, the different methods of regional anesthetics for birth assistance are discussed and explained during the course of regular patient information evenings. A colleague, who is well-versed in one of these methods, is available to the patient all round the clock at the time of the birth. The pain of giving birth is eased in the shape of a so-called "walking epidural", during which the motor functions largely remain intact.
Pain therapy spectrum:

- Pain associated with localized transient osteoporosis (M. Sudeck)

- Therapeutic local and block anesthesia
- Neural therapy
- Soft laser therapy
- Sympathetic nervous system blocking
- Electronic nerve stimulation (TENS)
- Opioid therapy directly at the spinal cord
- Supervision of pumps and ports
- Radio frequency-induced thermal lesions
The treatment of patients with acute or chronic pain can take place via Prim. Dr. Max Gosch in his consultation room at the Goldenes Kreuz or in hospital or by way of referral by or in consultation with another physician.
