Medical Laboratory

The Goldenes Kreuz is served by Laboratory Prim. Univ. lecturer Dr. Thomas Endler, which has its head office at Michelbeuerngasse 1a, 1090 Vienna. The laboratory is open all round the clock, including Sundays and public holidays.

The medical laboratory is certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and encompasses all areas of modern laboratory diagnosis such as urology, fertility examinations, allergies, food intolerance, intestinal flora status, microbiology, virology, hormones, anti-aging parameters, sports medicine, hair loss, diagnosis of cancer and much more.

Emergency examinations and basic routines are processed under medical supervision in the central laboratory of the Goldenes Kreuz. This includes all blood, stool and urine examinations, including the entire blood group serologic testing and transfusion medicine: blood bottles are continually checked on-site.
The compilation of medical diagnostic findings is the most urgent task, whereby the laboratory diagnostics of blood, urine and other bodily fluids is one of the main instruments, in order to make a diagnosis. In the case of urgent requests, the laboratory results are evaluated within one hour and reported back to the wards. The demands made on the laboratory diagnostics of a large hospital are thus fulfilled.

Outstandingly trained employees work with the latest and most modern equipment in order to rapidly prepare precise findings. These facilities guarantee that patients with high-risk and complicated surgical interventions can also be given optimal care.

Ambulatory blood collections are also possible in the Goldenes Kreuz
MON - FRI: 9.00 - 12 p.m.
SAT, SUN and public holidays: 9 - 10 a.m. (!! Only for the fertility clinic !!).
