The Goldenes Kreuz is the first private clinic in Austria with a certified breast care centre. The auditing and certification is carried out by an independent committee of experts from Switzerland and represents an important step in the quality management and the ongoing improvement in quality of the Goldenes Kreuz.

Why the need for a certified breast health centre?
From 2016, the European Union demands that all patients diagnosed with suspected breast cancer are cared for in a specially certified centre. This requirement has also been laid down in the Austrian health structure plan. The certification will safeguard the high quality standards and an interdisciplinary collaboration - from the diagnostic investigation right through to the treatment and after-care.
