Anesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine

Anesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine

The anesthesiology and intensive care medicine, under the direction of Prim. Dr. Lubomir Elias, guarantees the optimum care of patients from the pre-operation preparation and the intra- and postoperative supervision right through to the professional aftercare.

In our experience, these are the most frequently required methods:

  • General anesthetics
  • Regional anesthetics of the upper and lower extremities
  • Plexus anesthetics
  • Peridural anesthetics
  • Spinal anesthetics

The most modern technical infrastructure (intensive care medical equipment, artificial ventilation apparatus, acute laboratory and blood bank), combined with the recovery room’s competent and dedicated team of doctors and nurses, offers the most optimum prerequisites for successful patient care all round the clock. Being located close to the operating theater enables a continual medical supervision and the direct coordination of the appropriate therapies, aftercare treatments or the administration of third party or own blood bottles, if required.

Our nursing team is especially concerned with providing personal supervision whilst maintaining an atmosphere of privacy, against a background of highly professional technical know-how. Of course, our "little" patients may be accompanied by mum or dad until the little ones fall asleep in the operating room. We have also created a friendly visitors’ room directly in the recovery room in which the accompanying individuals can wait during the operation so as to also convey a sense of security here too.

For information and consultations, Prim. Dr. Elias (available via the switchboard 01/ 40 111 - 0) or ward manager DGKS Renate Boros are pleased to be at your service at any time.
