Surgery

The surgical department in the Goldenes Kreuz is under the direction of Prim. Dr. Karl Gensthaler, and offers affiliated surgeons from the most diverse fields of specialization the optimal prerequisites for the treatment of their patients. Special focal areas are in the sectors of general, stomach, chest and vascular surgery, orthopedics, accident surgery, ENT, ophthalmology and plastic surgery.

Four state-of-the-art operating theaters are available – three of which are for in-patient treatments, the fourth is for ambulant operative procedures. Led by head surgical ward nurse DGKS Gudrun Steiner, the competent service provided by our surgical nursing team ensures that things run smoothly all round the clock.
